Tubbies is a multiplayer VR horror game for Meta Quest. Everyone shows up as a cute little Tubbie. One of you is lying about it. Here's how a round works.
That's almost everybody. Round, green and way too huggable for a place like this. Your job is to get the tasks done, open an exit and get out before you end up as a snack.
Every round, one player gets secretly picked to be the evil Tubbie. They look like everyone else and act like everyone else. Right up until they morph into a big monster.
At the start of the round, one player becomes the evil Tubbie and nobody else knows who. They'll chat with you, walk around with you, maybe even help out. Don't get too comfy.
Tasks are spread all over the map. Once the team finishes enough of them, the two exits unlock. Splitting up gets it done faster. It also makes you way easier to eat.
Each exit has two pressure plates, and it only opens while both are held down. So you'll want a buddy. Last one alive? Drag a teammate's body onto the other plate. They won't mind.
If more than half of the good Tubbies escape, the good Tubbies win. If not, the monster wins. Either way, anyone who made it out still gets their own win, so it's always worth running.
Hit the monster with one and it's stunned, which buys everyone a moment to run. Hit a friend with one and, well, now your friend is stunned. Aim matters.
Teammate down? Get to them with a medkit and bring them back. Just check the monster isn't standing right there first.
Perks give you a little edge. Pick the ones that suit how you play, mix them up, and find a combo that works for your squad.
Dress your Tubbie up and make it yours. Looking good won't save you, but at least you'll look great while you run.
